Seoraksan

With four days off for the Christmas holiday, we decided to venture up to Seorkasan National Park.  Sokcho, the city just outside Seorkasan, is about as far away from Gwangju as you can get without leaving Korea.  It was a five and a half hour bus ride Thursday morning.  Friday, we went into Seoraksan and rode a cable car to the top of one of the mountains.  In the afternoon, we went for a short hike to one of the waterfalls.  On the way, I met up with Brady and Josh, two of the guides I worked with in Colorado who are also teaching English in Korea.
The next day, we got up early to hike Ulsanbowi.
After lunch in Seoraksan, we headed to Sokcho where we would be spending Saturday night.
Saturday night we soaked in some hot springs and ate at an all you can eat Korean barbeque.  Perfect after a day of hiking and in preparation for our six hour bus ride back to Gwangju the next morning.
